solaris SELF TANNING MOUSSE

I was offered to try this product from Solaris range of tanning products, and as I do love to have a tan and preferably not look like casper the ghost I accepted!! I have used quite a few different brands of tanning products in the past and have always ended up sticking to the same range. So anyways I opened the product and grabbed my mitt and got straight to work……well it is a bank holiday and like to look my best haha!!

Solaris products are UK made and you should always do a patch test before you begin to check incase your allergic to any of the ingredients.

First of all the packaging, very basic and as you can see I was sent the medium colour.   I thought the packaging could have looked slightly better as it just looked like it had a basic paper logo/label wrapped around it.  My thoughts for the price of £13.99 for a 200ml bottle it could have been better.

Now the product itself.  If you prefer not to smell like biscuits then this is definitely for you with its fresh baby powder fragrance it smells clean.  It comes out in a foam which applies pretty good especially if you exfoliate first and moisturise around knees, elbows, ankles and in between fingers and toes. The instructions say to apply and leave for 8 hours before rinsing off so that’s what I did.  To be honest I left it longer as I went to bed with it on and rinsed the next day. Now the colour, very golden and seems to give you a nice glow (not sure if you can see what I mean in my before and after picture below as light wasn’t great).  Checking through the ingredients I cant seem to see any parabens which is a good thing.

I really am surprised with the colour and it looks more of a holiday tan colour, not orange and not at all streaky.  The smell is so nice too.  Overall personally I like this mousse and would happily buy this and would actually be keen to try the darker one just to see the difference.
