July 2nd 2016
Finally the day had arrived, The day in which I got the opportunity to attend a very prestigious event and that was The London White Party 2016 hosted by the fabulous Antonia Mariconda. I was given the ticket as a christmas present to go with my husband. Me and Johnpaul woke up super early and caught that train down to london at 7.22am from Newcastle. To say I was slightly excited was so underestimated – I was Ecstatic!!
We were meeting another blogger before hand( http://www.pricelesslifeofmine.com) Stephanie Canham and her husband Nick before hand as they also got tickets. Thankfully we all stayed in the same hotel so could travel to the actual event together.
At about 1.30pm we met at Blackfriars Premier inn for a drink to have a catch up and chat about the evening ahead, this was followed by us heading back to the rooms to get glammed up. And when I say glammed up I mean GLAM. The white dress, crisp white shirt, silver heels and even the hubby’s silver bow tie. Yes you guessed it obviously we had to wear white!! Now I have never attending anything as big as this before down in London so it was a big eye opener for me and Johnpaul.
There was also the opportunity to get express tans, gel nails and Exuviance facials before hand courtesy of the event however we just didn’t have the time to fit this in.
The clock is ticking and we meet at reception ready to get a taxi at 6.15pm (bearing in mind it started at 6.45pm but we like to be early)
The nerves were kicking in fast now as we just didn’t know what to expect. We arrived at The Grand Connaught Rooms and was greeted by concierge and welcomed in. The staircase and chandeliers hanging was like something from the movies. It was a perfect location with photographers at the ready waiting for guests and of course Celebrities. Yes that’s right we were rubbing shoulders with the celebs. The celebrities which I actually seen who attended and were supporting the charities Katie Piper Foundation and Teens Unite were Arlene Phillips CBE, Casey Batchelor (charity patron, model actress and business owner, Karen Millen OBE, Dr Dawn Harper, Cally Jane Beech (Love Island Tv reality cast member, Former Miss Great Britain), Lizzie Cundy (Tv presenter, showbiz) Abigail Clarke (Former TOWIE cast member) and the one and only Zara Holland (Love Island Cast Member).
The doors opened and we were directed into this stunning white room which had Brazilian dancers in the most stunning outfits mingling and giving everyone an opportunity to get their pictures taken with them.
Skinade was one of the sponsors also and they had some lovely ladies presenting us with a variety of cocktails in these cute little bottles which were gorgeous.
A Photo Booth was also in this room from Xxtralash where you were able to go and have some crazy photos taken with props and you got to keep a copy of the photos for yourself.
And of course all of the guests were in here mingling and chatting getting to know one another as well as of course networking and having drinks at the bar. They had some fabulous backdrops in which you could take your own photos etc whenever you wanted, which obviously advertised The White Party and the sponsors.
After a while we were then escorted into the Grand Hall, Now this looked absolutely breath-taking. The stunning chandeliers again, the stage and screen for the awards. On every table was an iPad to bid on the auctions, a selfie stick to capture those fabulous moments as well as funny ones of course. On each seat was a goodie bag which had a range of goodies inside (which I will be reviewing separately ).
The drinks were flowing and the Diamond Awards begun.

After the awards we were able to help ourselves to a buffet and dance the night away and mil some more. A silent auction was also underway as well as raffle prizes, but to be honest I can’t remember much about the raffle getting drawn. (That could be maybe because I was pottering around chatting to different people and having a good time I may have missed this)
On our table I did make friends with 2 lovely girls who also were from Newcastle Abby Stacy and Kim Jinks who are opening up a clinic in Jesmond very soon so I am very excited to learn more about this and may have to pay them a visit. Unfortunately I didn’t really get much of chance to speak to others who were on the table.
Whilst at the bar though we manage to spot the stunning Zara Holland and she was so nice to chat with and grabbed a photo opportunity or ten 🙂
And then near the end of the night these fabulous Italian lads decided to join us for a photo too – The Alberti Twins Tony and John Alberti- https://www.instagram.com/the_alberti_twins/?hl=en
Amongst a few others I spotted a lady who had actually been on my Facebook as I knew she was in the aesthetic industry Louisa Scott who also is from my neck of the woods, so thought it a good opportunity to introduce myself. She was wearing a stunning sequins dress I must say and she also introduced me to another Belle Bridal columnist and blogger who is into the fashion/Beauty side Pixie Tenenbaum- https://fashionvoyeur.net/author/pixietenenbaum/. This lady was very inspirational and was giving me a run down on what she done etc and handed me her business card. They invited me along to visit them in which I am sure I shall be popping in soon to say hi!
And last but by no means least The stunning Antonia Mariconda Looked sensational in her gown and was professional the whole way through making sure everyone was being attended to during the night. This lady is so inspirational and makes me keep doing what I Love enjoy by doing my blogs and reviews. I know I am not great but I am constantly learning and it’s my page, my story, my life.
I hope to see you all again soon and wish everyone the best for the future and a huge well done to all the winners and nominees for the Diamond Awards. All well deserved!!
Till next time
