Milani vs Anastasia/Armani and MAC

I have had a great opportunity to try to come up with some good dupes for my favourite items in my makeup kit!

Now I knew this would be a task in itself but I managed to whittle things down and this is what I came up with.  Please be aware all reviews here are my own and yes I was gifted the Milani Products for this purpose from Beauty Base.

Here it goes….

Anastasia Beverley Hills

First I came up with my Anastasia Beverley Hills liquid Lips in the colour Pure Hollywood.  I do love this and it’s quite creamy and stays put for quite a while.

Now for the Milani version I used the Amore Matte Lip cream in the colour adorable (very similar in colour)

Firstly the packaging is sleek with the gold lid instead of the ABH silver.  The smell is gorgeous and makes me want to actually eat it – Help!!! Now the texture is very creamy and very easy to apply.

My only drawback to this, it seems to take a little longer to dry than the ABH liquid Lips and didn’t last as long on the lips before I had to touch up. (Still lasted quite a while)  Price difference – Anastasia Beverley Hills Liquid Lips is $20 and the Milani Lip Cream is £9.95.

The lip colour on the top is the Milani  (still a little wet)

Giorgio Armani

Now for foundation, this one for me I wasn’t 100% on.  I love Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundation as it is so easy to apply.  This gives good build able coverage so perfect to cover any imperfections.  So I was given the Milani Conceal and perfect Foundation in the Colour Sand Beige (Now this colour was slightly out for me as I wasn’t able to sample it first).  I found this foundation quite thick however it does what it says and conceals.  As for the blending I found it a little difficult with a brush to blend.  Maybe if I used a beauty blender or blending sponge etc it may have been different. Price difference Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is £40 whereas the Milani Conceal and Perfect is only £12.95.  A lot different in price so may be worth trying out.

Last but by no means least the MAC studio fix powder plus foundation which I have to admit is one of my favourites of all time.  This product does what it says and keeps fixed on your skin. In comparison to the Milani Cream to powder makeup I do prefer MAC I’m afraid.

Milani powder foundation is presented lovely and with a little mirror inside with application sponge.  My criticism would be that it did not give me enough coverage at all and I felt that the colour didn’t have enough depth about it.  Price difference Mac Powder foundation £23.50 and Milani Cream to powder is £9.95.  My opinion here is you get what you pay for with the powder foundations.

Overall I would definitely buy the Milani Lip Products again, They are really nice and have a lovely smell about them.

Till next time
