Bits n’ Bobs

Winter is approaching fast and it will soon be that magical time of year….. yes the big red Coca-Cola will be visiting our TV screens, we have just had the Halloween and bonfire night…. now we are well on the way to Christmas!! Cold weather, twinkling fairy lights, maybe Snow, we need that cosy log fire on and a blanket and nice cup of baileys coffee in our hands to warm us up. Sounds lovely doesn’t it?  At the same time we can’t forget our skin and hair we need to look after it.

I thought I would tell you about 3 products I am loving at the moment (October/November especially) and how they have an effect on my skin and hair. Then there’s the final product which I just love to have in my makeup bag which I use everyday.

Here we have OGX argan oil of Morocco and Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask.  One for the hair and the other for my skin.

OGX Argan Oil of Morocco :

This weightless oil comes in a pump spray bottle 118ml and has a price tag of £7.35 and is available at  boots stores.  I use this after shampooing and conditioning my hair and spray just a little on my mid lengths and ends so that when I am drying with a hairdryer it infuses the argan oil into the centre of the hair shaft and when I am finishing drying my hair I usually lightly spray once again for optimum shine.  All ingredients are listed on web link at Boots also.  I find that I don’t get any frizz at all by using this and it definitely does not weigh my hair down.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Treatment mask

Now for my dull dry skin that is also very sensitive I am loving this treatment mask.  I actually got this when I went to purchase my usual Moisture Surge moisturizer and was  in a gift set which was a brilliant offer Christmas gift.  This is 100% Fragrance free which is awesome for my poor skin and also great for all skin types.  You simply need to remove all that makeup you may have had on during the day or after a night out on the town and clean your skin so it is clear.  Then massage a small amount over your skin and let it do the magic whilst you sleep!! It is so creamy and moisturising it seems like a huge drink for your face and neck.  It helps replenish your skin, and has a protective moisture barrier.  You then wake up to skin that feels revived, supple and luminous. This price tag is £30 for 30 ml however if you buy the christmas gift set you can get a full size moisture surge moisturizer, eye cream, mask and a chubb stick for the lips all for only £40.

Last but by no means least…..

Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24hr

Price for this is £7.99 and I have to admit I have tried loads of gel liners and I personally think this is one of the best I have used and is on par with Mac Black track.  It comes in a small jar and you only need a tiny amount.  Oil free too which is great.  You get a little brush with it for application and it is double ended.  One end is a fine brush which is very smooth and the other end is more of a smudger end for a more smoked effect.  You need a very tiny amount as it goes along way.  The brush you get I just wish was a tiny bit more finer but texture of the gel is perfect for me. I bought the colour Black but I believe you can get in other colours which are available on the website.

I am in no way affiliated with any of these brand’s, I am simply sharing some products which are my favourites this past month.  Looking forward to nearer Christmas time as I am attending the Clothes show live in Birmingham NEC the first weekend of December so be prepared for a big blog review after that!! I hope I’m not boring you too much. Feel free to check me out now and again and subscribe to my blog that would be fabulous!!!

Till next time……

Diane xx
