Here it goes, my first blog post at 36 years old.  How time flies!!
You may be thinking why start now??? The truth is I have been in the beauty industry since qualifying in 1998 and worked in salons/spas and had my own mobile therapy business.  However I feel like a new challenge and thought why not start doing YouTube videos and blogs.  Although I haven’t done a video yet as I am  still trying to build the confidence to be in front of the camera!!
Back in April  myself and my husband were married, and spent time together.  Afterwards in this time, it made me realise that we shouldn’t have any regrets about anything in life and that we should aim “BIG”.  So this is why I want to give this all a go, even if nobody is interested or reads my blogs/visits my YouTube at least I can say “I Tried”.
I have been inspired by a lot of beauty bloggers/you tubers including Jaclyn Hill from the USA, Norvina and a friend of mine Carly Musleh Beauty Sauce  who’s a fantastic blogger and YouTuber  also from the North East Tyne and Wear.
I love everything about makeup and beauty products and how they can transform a look aswel as enhance features.  I have had the opportunity to visit Sephora the past 2 years in Orlando Florida and OMG it is like a candy store…… something for everyone!!

I made a few purchases but my favourite was the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow pomade in medium brown. It has a great easy to use texture with amazing depth of colour and lasts all day.

On Saturday the 20th June I went to a “how to be a  beauty blogger” event at The Soho Hotel in London hosted by the fabulous Antonia Mariconda with guest speaker Jane Cunningham (Award winning beauty blogger).  The event was so inspiring whether you were just starting out like me or advanced there was something for everyone. I had the opportunity to mingle with like-minded ladies in different industries and met a very motivational blogger Fiona Longmuir (The Escapologist).

It was an amazing venue with fabulous decor and of course I sat on the cow print chair. (It had to be done)

We were welcomed with a little treat bag with sweets, bottle of water and some little savoury bites. (That was just for starters). After the first half we had a break and had tea/coffee and biscuits…..which were divine 🙂

We then sat down to the Q&A with Jane Cunningham and Antonia herself. By this time I was just blown away with everything going 10000 miles an hour through my head – full of ideas now!!11113209_10153127803574055_6037598287437466361_n

  1. Well done my lovely on taking that first step into the world of blogging. When blogging you’re really putting yourself out there for the world to see but as you quite right said ‘no regrets’ and I truly believe in that motto. Your website and blog are fab. See you at the next workshop!
